English Antique Lead Figural Fountainhead Ornamental Garden Fountain Feature

About the Item

An elegant and highly unusual figural fountainhead. Made from cast lead, this is a late 19th century / early 20th century piece of superb quality. The lady figure is standing upright and has a graceful appearance leaning forward and holding two sweeping copper pipes that come out of the shell base. Lovely weathered patina, the piece has weather related wear but still has good definition. When tested, the water does flow but one side has stronger flow than the other and may require some attention to get it working correctly as a fountainhead. A superb quality garden piece or interior decorator piece. Dish Height 70mm.
