White Marble Fireplace with Carved Lion's Mask
About the Item
Very good quality English, white marble fireplace in the late Georgian style. The frieze with carved lion masks, drapery and dentils, the jambs with delicate inner moulding of egg-and-dart and carved acanthus leaves to corners. The shelf with carved rosette pattern surmounted by matching egg-and-dart moulding. A fine copy of an earlier original.
