Wonderful Gothic Revival fire-place mantle surround with an amazing presence and patina.
If you like Gothic Revival furniture then we are certain you will like this quality made and quality carved, antique Gothic mantle. This fine and unique specimen comes with very attractive, church-window-like panels. This intricate oak fire-place mantle also comes with two knights in armour, standing on pilars and they are like the gatekeepers or guards to this marvelous mantle. On the front and sides are perfectly matching, geometric oak panels, all with hand carved church window-like patterns and the ones on the side come with some of the most well known Gothic symbols, the quatrefoils. Combined with the many Gothic style leaf patterns and Gothic rosettes all around, it makes this one of the most intricately carved Gothic fire-place mantles you will ever find. This is not a 16th century piece, but this early 20th century Gothic Revival antique was made with many of the exact same skills, showing the same Gothic patterns. It therefor too stands as strong and stable as the day it was handcrafted and in another 100 years time it still will and its already warm patina will only grow more beautiful as time passes. Apart from a few minor imperfections, this antique mantle is in very good condition (both inside and out) and we expect that it will be gracing a new owner's home soon. Especially at our price.
