Antique Dutch Arts and Crafts Firescreen w. Copper, Coil-Like Handle Decoration
Located in Lisse, NL
Stunning and modest size firescreen, top quality workmanship, ca 1900.
If this superbly hand-crafted Arts and Crafts fire screen is the right style to fit your fireplace or living space and the size is correct as well then you could hardly wish for a better condition one. It stands as strong and stable as the day it was hand-crafted over 100 years ago and this stylish antique has just the right amount of style elements. Not too few and not too many. The combination of the design, the materials and the exceptional workmanship makes this sleek antique truly impressive. There is a minimalistic coolness about Dutch Arts and Crafts antiques that seems to appeal to collectors on all continents and when a piece is as well excecuted as this museum quality screen then the English saying 'quality always sells' should again prove to be right. We certainly are convinced this one of a kind antique too will find the perfect home soon. For those who did not yet know, this work-of-art-firescreen would be placed in front of the fireplace in the summer so that the estate owners would not have to look into the darkish fireplace opening. It can (and probably will) again be used as such, but this aesthetic beauty could nowadays also be used as a small room divider or simply on display for the attractive work of art that she is. If you already have a space or place in mind for this antique screen then maybe you should be its next custodian.
This unique Arts and Crafts screen...
