Period 18th Century French Louis XV Chimneypiece

About the Item

A charming Louis XV in French limestone. The gently sweeping serpentine frieze with carved shell to centre, flower paterae and entwined motifs to panelled frieze and curved jambs. From the Lorraine region in North Eastern France. Period, mid-18th century. Measurements: Shelf width - 1275 mm 50 1/4 in. Overall height - 1095 mm 43 1/8 in. Opening height - 955 mm 37 3/8 in. Opening width - 985 mm 38 3/4 in. Depth of shelf - 285 mm 11 1/4 in.  Overall Plinths - 1230 mm / 48 3/8 in. Overall Jambs - 1245 mm / 49 in.
