RARE PAIR OF NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN ANDIRONS, 1880-1910
About the Item
Native Americans are a rare form among the andirions I have encountered at countless shows and auctions. While seemingly akin to the other figural examples that were popular in the early 20th century, such as the owls and cats with glass eyes, these appear to be earlier and better made.
Ca 1880-1910.
