Pair of Italian Wrought Iron Andirons with Food Warmer Late 16th Century Black

About the Item

Firenze, 16th century Great craftsmanship typical of the Florentine Renaissance workforce. These andirons come from a palace of the Florentine nobility and were used in the large fireplace of the kitchens both to keep dishes warm and for rotisserie. Note that there is no welding being hand forged.
