This Ikat textile originates from the Island of Flores, Indonesia. It is hand-woven using naturally dyed yarns via a method passed on through generations. This textile is tubular for ease to be worn as a waist skirt (sarong) by the tribes people of the island.
As highlighted in the images, there are some holes (one 3cm and another 1cm) on the back side of the textile.
