Divenire is a sculptural piece that explores the fluid journey of time and self-reinvention. The flowing onyx marble on a circular stainless steel base symbolizes the cyclical nature of life, where experiences and perceptions continuously evolve. The lit marble's fragmented reflections on the metal emphasize the constant change and impermanence inherent in our lives. "Divenire" captures the essence of transformation, where time not only changes us externally but also reshapes our inner world, leading to growth and self-discovery. Divenire is a piece that depicts our insightful journey through time and the time experienced through our journey. As human life is said to be constructed in cycles rather than a straight line, like our experiences, the fluid forms of the onyx marble flow on the circular form of the stainless steel. A poetic portrayal of no one is exactly the same in each moment, as relationships, feelings, circumstances change. The fragmented quality of the lit marble and its reflections on the metal add another dimension to this reminder of passage, the constant change and the impermanence of things, except the change it self. Time changes us. There are times in which we loose some of our parts along the way, in others we hold on to them. We grieve and we hope.. And yet, within all these experiences we change… ‘’Divenire’’ is about recreating one self. Everything flows around us, time flows, seasons change. And yet the chronological time that passes and the time inside of us that experiences the world, seem to flow in two different rhythms. We remember our memories, we fantasize about new futures, we try to make sense of our feelings, oscillating in between .. We feel, we dream, we hope.. More than our experiences; our perceptions change us. This sense of change comes from inside of every one of us, within the depths of our souls.. EVERYTHING FLOWS THROUGH US, SOMETIMES LIKE CLOUDS PASSING BY, SOMETIMES IT FLOWS LIKE A WATERFALL, SOMETIMES IT ACCUMULATES LIKE A STILL LAKE, SOMETIMES FLOODING, SOMETIMES DROP BY DROP.. SOMETIMES IT WOULD FEEL AS IF THE TIME HAS STOPPED. IT WILL FLOW FROM OUR EYES, FLOW FROM OUR HEARTS, PASSING THROUGH OUR LUNGS. SOUNDS FLOW FROM OUR EARS, FAMILIAR SMELLS PASSING BY, PICTURES TRAVELS THROUGH OUR DREAMS. AT TIMES IT FLOWS SLOWLY, AT TIMES IT DRIPS, BUT IT ALWAYS FLOWS INSIDE OF US. ’’Divenire’’ captures this sense of flow and remembers us through its fluid forms that we go through and then we grow through. Thus we become anew. We change and we hope again..
