Antique Chinese red lacquer low Kang table, c. 1910's.
The Kang table has a rich history as it was used in everyday life for dining, having tea, playing games and meditation. The table features classic mortise and tenon joinery ensuring both strength and structural integrity. Crafted of southern elm, it is lacquered in customary vibrant red with nice patina perfect for adding a pop of color to any room. Its simple design is enhanced by a plank top, curved spandrels and subtle carving.
A beautiful antique which could be used as a small coffee table, plant stand or unique low side table.
