Japanese antique wooden octagonal display stand/bonsai stand/flower stand

About the Item

This is an old wooden flower stand from Japan. It is believed to be from around the 20th century. Originally, it may have been used in temples to hold offerings of flowers, but this is not certain. When viewed from directly above, it has an octagonal shape, and the carved decoration on the legs is reminiscent of the design found on temple tables. This gives it an elegant and serene atmosphere. The type of wood is unknown, but it is made using the core of the wood. Looking at the top-down photo, you can see that the core is placed at the center, creating a very beautiful impression. Place a flower vase, bonsai, or your favorite items on it. It will enhance the beauty of anything placed on it, elevating it to something more refined. Weight: 2.35 kg [We are a company consisting of four different stores with four different brands. We offer a wide range of attractive items from all over the world with a focus on Japanese items. We offer Japanese antique furniture and tools that are different from the Japanese antique furniture and art that have been appreciated abroad. These tools were used in private homes and farmhouses in the past. They have been passed through a long time and have an attractive taste. The reality is that many of these items are now being discarded along with the demolition of houses. We are on a mission to re-evaluate these fascinating old objects and preserve them for future generations. And we have seen tens of thousands of items so far. We have used that experience to list the most fascinating items here. We can do this because of our long experience. We will rediscover the "beauty" produced in the life and culture of the common people, which is different from the Japanese art and culture that is known and scattered around the world, and present it to the world. ]
