About the Item

John Anthony sequined black tulle, black rose bustle back evening gown from the 1980s. Corset bodice fully boned and lined inside, the outer bodice is a sequined sheer back tulle, jewel neckline, long sleeve attached top, it closes at the back with hook & eyes, the corset closes with a hidden zipper. The attached skirt is lightly gathered at the waist and tapers to the hem. Attached at the skirt back is the bustle, there are three tiers, the top tier is attached horizontally below the zipper and falls in a cascade over the middle and lower tiers to the hem. The ruffle is made up of gathered tulle & net below. There is a wide black velvet waist band that closes at the waist back attached on one side is a huge bow that spans the back of the dress at the center of the bow is a single large black silk rose. The bow closes with hook & eyes there are hidden snaps to attache the bow to the waist back sides. The dress is fully lined and closes at the back with a zipper.
