For over 25 years we have described what we do at Retrouvius as salvage, reclamation and design. In the simplest terms, we rescue materials, furniture, lighting and fixtures, and continue their life in the architectural and interior projects that we design. Increasingly, we understand our mission as something more fundamental: to enable and inspire reuse, not just as a design preference, but as an attitude, a principled process and a way of life. The values inherent in reuse include responsibility, resourcefulness, respect, repair, and these are qualities that are more valuable today than ever.
