A fine 18th century George III period ebonized striking bracket clock of rarer, smaller size. The well proportioned bell-top ebonized case is surmounted by a cast brass carrying handle and four pine cone finials. The 6 inch signed, brass dial has twin subsidiary dials for strike or silent and for slow or fast regulation. There are mock pendulum and date apertures within the matted centre of the dial.
