Wilhelm Kåge (1889-1960) is one of the most well-known representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. This piece is signed with sticker "Gustavsberg Argenta 1079 II". Swedish ceramic artist and designer, Wilhelm Kåge (1889-1960) was primarily active in the late-1920s through the 1950s and is best known for his contribution to functionalist style, as well his work as the artistic leader of the Gustavsberg porcelain factory. Algot Wilhelm Kåge (originally Nilsson) was born in 1889 in Stockholm.
