This exceptional antique Victorian Scottish sterling silver wax jack has a circular shaped form. The wax jack has a plain central column surmounted with a tapering capital comprised of a cast sterling silver sprung hinged wick trimmer, accented with an inset circular taper holder to the centre of the blades. This scissor component is embellished with cast scrolling leaf designs. The lower portion of the wax jack features a circular base accented with engraved scrolling leaf decoration.
