Antique late-19th century French exquisite solid silver-gilt liqueur service, consisting of 4 liqueur bottles, 24 cups, 4 labels and a mirror set serving tray. Made in the Louis XVI style decorated with pronounced beaded boarders, laurel garlands and wrapped ribbons, the oval tray on four leaf capped legs and mounted with two handles. The four glass bottles are hand etched with floral decorations and set with 4 silver mounted stoppers, the four labels inscribed; cognac, chartreuse, curaçao, and cherry-brandy, and presented with 24 glass mounted cups and richly gilded glass holders. A truly superb and very rare set, made by undoubtedly the finest French silversmith.

This magnificent antique French silver tea and coffee set consists of a samovar, teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl and slop bowl, in addition to a matching tea tray.
Each piece has an circular baluster shaped form to a circular spreading foot.
The upper portion of each piece of teaware is embellished with impressive interlacing strapwork designs incorporating scallop shell motifs and pendant leaf drops, all contained within an inverted arched band accented with matte baground.
The lower portions are encompassed with a further shaped matte band incorporatng entwined flutes with tiered leaf motifs to each incurve.
The teapot is fitted with plain domed hinged cover and the kettle and sugar bowl retain the original hallmarked push fit covers.
Each cover is embellished with further thread decorated flutes with leaf designs to the terminal and is surmounted by the original silver bud style finial.
The samovar, teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug are fitted with plain angular C shaped silver handles, ornamented with applied tiered pendant leaf ornamenation to the handpieces, in addition to impressive leaf decorated thumbpieces.
The teapot features an exceptional silver swan necked spout embellished to the lower portion with a panel of interlacing decoration.
The body of the magnificent 950 standard silver samovar is fitted with an impressive tap and is fitted with a large scrolling leaf decorated spigot/handle.
The stand is encompassed with bead ornamentation and incoroprates an applied leaf design to the upper portion of each scrolling leg, accented with further tiered pendant drop leaf designs and terminating with a square foot.
The upper portion of the stand is further embellished with aplied suspended leaf festoons, conjoining the structure to a plain scrolling frame.
The samovar detaches from the imposing stand to allow access to the original spirit burner, ornamented with further entwined fluted decoration; matching the lower portion of the body.
The interior of the cream jug and sugar bowl retain the original gilding.
This exceptional five piece service sits to the original and matching tea tray; the tray has an oval, quatrefoil shaped form.
The tray is encompassed with flat chased decoration depicting a variation of the aforementioned interlacing, shell, leaf and arched designs, all on a matte background and incorporating a large shaped vacant cartouche to the centre.
The incurved shaped rim of the French silver tea tray is embellished with a stylised alternating fluted and pendant leaf style border.
Either end of this magnificent and large tray is fitted with an impressive scrolling handle, featuring scrolling leaf design emanating towards the centre of the handpiece.
This magnificent antique five piece tea and coffee service is accompanied by a fine and impressive pair of associated silver sugar tongs.
These impressive sugar tongs are embellished with scrollong pierced decorated handles with shell shaped bowls and a simplified border across the centre of the bridge.
