After achieving her BA she went on to become a Freelance Printed Textile designer for a small company in London. Shortly after that she managed to get a job as a Fine Jewellery Designer for the Crown Jewellers, Asprey and Garrard Bond St. Sophia became a specialist in designing high end Jewellery, accessories, and ornaments for English and Middle Eastern Royalty and the Elite. She also designed a great variety of items including rings, Jewellery Suites, watches, cufflinks, Jewel incrusted clocks, tiaras and precious ornaments. Her eye for detail leant well to her career in jewellery design and she became an expert in her field. This painting was inspired by the many themes within my art. Duality is seen in the changing textures and colors, creating a strong sense of depth, concave to convex as well as dark to light. Emergence, another theme, occurs with each layer of paint. New forms start to emerge as if by magic, creating a sense of excitement and mystery. In this painting I hope to evoke the feeling of beauty as well as the challenges of the sea.
