The Tea Table, Knudsminde Farm
By Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna
Located in Santa Cruz, CA
Signed lower right, "Olga" for Her Imperial Highness, Olga Alexandrovna, Grand Duchess of Russia and painted circa 1935.
The daughter of Emperor Alexander III and the sister of Tsar Nicholas II, Olga Alexandrovna was an accomplished artist who exhibited with success worldwide. Today, her cousin, Queen Elizabeth II, begins her day with nine of Olga's paintings hanging in the breakfast-room at Sandringham.
We are pleased to offer this finely-painted watercolor showing the interior of Knudsminde Farm, the Danish country home of Grand-Duchess Olga from 1930-48. Beside a window overlooking the farm, a tea-table covered by a Russian embroidered and lace table cloth...
