We are pleased to offer this pair of Dutch Delft blue and white mantel vases painted in shades of cobalt blue showing a well painted scene of a country gentleman seated on a bench near a cottage. The scene is bordered by a dark blue outline and topped by an oversized flower. The blue outline and oversized flower are traditional to Dutch Delft mantle vases. The finial is a rare example of the "Bobbejak", the tippler. He sits on a wine barrel holding a jug in one hand and a mug in the other. His head is cocked to one side indicating that he's tipsy.
