A few things contribute to what is so special about Richard Mille. Every step of the manufacturing process takes place at the Swiss luxury watchmaker's workshops. Every watch movement is assembled by hand, and the process is characterized by an exceptional level of workmanship. The brand’s durable cases are made with fine materials, and specialists finish each watch by hand. Additionally, Richard Mille makes only around 2,000 watches per year, so the demand often greatly exceeds the available supply of new timepieces. Estes takes numerous photos of his subject from all angles, then manipulates, cuts, and pastes them together into a composition he likes. He paints that composition with incredible attention to detail, and the result is a hyper-realistic painting of a scene that only partially exists in real life. To tell if a Richard Mille is real, first find its serial number, usually located on the watch movement. The luxury watchmaker assigns a unique serial number to each timepiece, so by cross-referencing the number on your watch with information shared by trusted online resources, you can determine if the number is valid.
