How Much are British Hunting Paintings?
- 1stDibs ExpertJanuary 27, 2025The British artist famous for his spot paintings is Damien Hirst. He began producing these pieces in the 1980s. Hirst is the most prominent of the Young British Artists, or YBAs, who began exhibiting together in warehouses and factories in the 1980s. Hirst is known for his use of unconventional materials and “shock tactics” in his paintings, prints, sculptures and other works. On 1stDibs, explore a selection of Damien Hirst art.
