About the Item
Vicky Oldfield, ‘Autumn Collection’ is a hand coloured collograph print; the print is taken from a plate which has been collaged with a variety of textured materials. The plates are then sealed and then inked up and printed in intaglio on damp paper using an etching press. The embossed textural quality of the print is unique to this method. Collage material is added as the print goes through the press.
Due to the process of Vicky Oldfield's' Prints, the editions are variable, which means each print is completely unique; all are printed on Somerset paper 300gms. The work features butterfly's, eggs in a basket, flowers in bottles, feathers and stones which signifies an overall view of the collections of autumn.
Signed, titled, editioned and specified a 'unique' print all written in pencil by the artist along the bottom edge of the print.
Edition of 30 unique prints.

Vicky Oldfield
Vicky Oldfield artist and print maker with limited edition prints are available and in stock with Wychwood Art online and in our art gallery in Deddington, Oxfordshire.Vicky Oldfield the artist is renowned for her distinctive pictures; the subjects are the story of her fascination with life, whether a still life on a rainy day or a collection of found objects from a walk with her dog, through the British countryside. Vicky Oldfield's works are produced by a variety of materials: wire, etching, oil sticks, tissue paper and coloured card. A collage is made up with these materials and then placed in a metal press. A print is taken of the design and then reworked with colour on top. Her flower designs are bold and striking there is nothing wilting about these compositions what so ever Vicky Oldfield has exhibited twice in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, selling her entire editions on preview night, she is regularly selected for the major London competitions and shows in many galleries across the UK including the Affordable art fair in Battersea.

Accomplished print maker Guy Allen (b.1987) grew up surrounded by Norfolk’s natural beauty. The theme of the animal world is central to Guy’s work and inspiration. His limited edition original etchings showcase his brilliant draftsmanship in a contemporary way. Guy graduated from Central Saint Martins School of Art in 2011, but discovered his passion for the traditional etching process while studying at the École Nationale Supérieure Des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2010. In 2012 Guy trained as an assistant print maker at the highly respected Curwen Studios, Cambridge, under Mary Dalton and Stanley Jones, where he mastered other types of printmaking. Today Guy works as a full time artist, splitting his week between his London and Norfolk studios, accompanied by trusty wire haired dachshund...
