About the Item
You definitely need this fantastic Mid-Century serigraph of Chicago's Executive House hotel and the Chicago River by artist Mark Coomer, in its original off-white panel frame frame! Image size: 11" x 8 1/2". Framed size: 18 1/4" x 16 1/4".
Mark Coomer was born in Bay City, Michigan in 1914. He lived in the suburbs of Chicago for a while and later in Arizona, while exhibiting nationally his paintings and limited editions of serigraphs. Coomer exhibited at the American Watercolor Society in New York and at the Art Institute of Chicago. He died in 2004 in Prescott, Arizona.
Some of his serigraphs were scenes from Chicago and New York City. Among his subjects were cityscapes, skyscrapers, oil derricks, frontier towns and Mexican and Italian village scenes (Source: Askart).
