Don Quixote is an etching and drypoint print on ivory-colored Chinese paper, realized by Wladyslaw Jahl in 1951. It belongs to a limited edition of 125 specimens. Good conditions. The artwork represents a visual scene from Don Quixote Book that is considered by literary historians to be one of the most important books of all time, and it is often cited as the first modern novel. also celebrated for being one of the first Western novels to explore the psychological evolution of its characters. Don Quixote, experiences and interprets reality through this lens. He perceives normal everyday life as fantastic idealism. Here in the artwork artist succeed by mastery of his strokes and considering the whole composition and evolving through light and shading, evoking a great feeling as reading the scene visually by applying aesthetic codes.
