About the Item
Burin engraving on Magnani-Pescia paper. Paper size 39cmx29,5cm, work size 22cmx17,5cm. Excellent condition, no defects.
OSSI CZINNER - Central European artist, graphic designer and sculptor".
Born in 1924 in Vienna to Max Czinner, a wealthy Jewish banker of Hungarian origin and Leopoldina, a cultured Austrian noblewoman, Ossi Czinner was also the granddaughter of the great expressionist director Paul Czinner. Her parents moved to Trieste, for work reasons related to her father's profession.
Gifted with great artistic talent, she became a student of the Udine sculptor Marcello Mascherini and, through him, she met the painter Federico Righi.
Over the years she has devoted herself almost exclusively to graphics, preferring the engraving technique. Her works are almost always completed by the artist's hand finishing, as a complement to the work, in her various thematic, stylistic and technical research.
