It represents all the happiness and hope the movie industry delivers to the Planet Earth every year. There are only 2 melted crayons Oscars made: the first with a black background is in Belair at one of the RHOBH Kyle Richards (Attached). ***The last picture is the artist himself 'giving' a Real Oscar to one of his Oscars pieces*** Brazilian artist Mauro Oliveira creates artworks using special automotive detailing tape, acrylic paint, pencils and other creative media, finishing his artworks with several layers of resin for an immaculate and super glossy finish. The exceptionally shiny varnish gives Mauro’s pieces a delightful reflection and a finished look. Many of his geometric pieces are named after specific places and skylines that inspired the artwork. Each artwork is precisely planned out and there is little room for error with his technique, which makes each piece equally stunning. Mauro believes the artist should express their emotions and feelings through art. Each piece should have a beginning, middle and an end, with an individual outlook and interpretation for each observer. “What I might be really trying to do with my art, is to represent the complexity of the inner self in a simple clean way using vivid colors. My only hope is that every piece touches the viewer somehow.” Mauro Oliveira was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and raised on the outskirts under extreme poverty, with no running water or electricity. He and his six siblings were sent to a military state-run orphanage after both parents passed away in their 30’s. He feels that he is living proof that people’s generosity can save lives and make dreams come true. His passion for the United States and art started at age 9 in the orphanage. An American woman, a good Samaritan, visited the orphanage looking to adopt an orphan and Mauro became close with her. However, she ended up adopting his best friend, as she did not want to separate him from his brothers and sisters. Before she left, she told him crying in broken Portuguese that if he stayed out of trouble and studied hard, he too would make it to the U.S. one day. His first art project, age 10, was to paint and decorate the plain tin piggy-banks, that were given out free by the banks and then selling them. He encouraged and supervised the other children to do the same and raised funds for food. He did stay out of trouble, studied hard and surmounted every obstacle in his way, dreaming of making it to America one day. He made it to college with straight A’s and won a student exchange program contest sponsored by the Federal University of Uberlandia, Brazil. He studied Journalism and the Arts and immigrated to the U.S. in 1990. Mauro has worked in several different art media from oil pastels and charcoal sketches to clay sculptures. His greatest influences are Spanish artists Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro. Oliveira's artworks have been exhibited throughout the US as well as internationally, most recently in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York.

Living Painting - Colour Pochoir
By (after) Sonia Delaunay
Located in Collonge Bellerive, Geneve, CH
after Sonia Delaunay Full-page, colour pochoir after costume designs by Sonia Delaunay Edition 331/500 copies on Velin Aussedat Dimensions: 28.5 x 19.5 cm. From 27 Living Paintings. [Milano, Edizioni del Naviglio, 1969]. Jacques Damase. Robes Poèmes, Introduction. Text by Guillaume Apollinaire and Blaise Cendrars. Sonia Delaunay was known for her vivid use of color and her bold, abstract patterns, breaking down traditional distinctions between the fine and applied arts as an artist, designer and printmaker. Born Sarah Stern on November 14, 1885 in Gradizhsk, Ukraine, she was adopted in 1890 by her maternal uncle, Henri Terk, a lawyer in St. Petersburg, where she grew up, exposed to music and art, and learning several foreign languages. In 1903, she moved to Germany to study drawing with Ludwig Schmidt-Reutler (1863–1909) at the Karlsruhe academy of fine arts; Arnold Schoenberg (1874–1951), composer-to-be, was among her classmates there. In 1905, she traveled to Paris where she attended art classes at the Académie de la Palette, learned printmaking from Rudolf Grossman (1889–1941), and met Amédée Ozenfant (1886–1966), André Dunoyer de Segonzac (1884–1974), and Jean-Louis Boussingault (1883–1943). Sonia spent much of her time at exhibitions and galleries in Paris, which showed works by Paul Cézanne, Vincent Van Gogh, Pierre Bonnard, and Edouard Vuillard, as well as Les Fauves, Henri Matisse and André Derain. She did, however, maintain contact with Germany, exhibiting at the Galerie Der Sturm, Berlin, in 1913, 1920 and 1921. During her first year in Paris, Sonia met the German collector and art-dealer, Wilhelm Uhde (1874–1947), whom she married on December 5, 1908, and whose Montparnasse gallery, the Galerie Notre-Dame des Champs, showed her first solo exhibition. Through Uhde, Sonia encountered many painters, including Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Maurice de Vlaminck, and Robert Delaunay (1885–1941). In 1910, Sonia divorced Uhde by mutual agreement, married Delaunay that same year, and gave birth to their son, Charles, in January 1911. Together Sonia and Robert Delaunay pursued the study of color, influenced by theories of Michel-Eugène Chevreul (1786–1889). Sonia’s interest in simultaneous contrast, as evidenced in her early collages, book bindings, small painted boxes...
