SIBERIAN TIGERS by the British wildlife artist Sydney Taylor, is an original hand drawn limited edition lithograph printed using hand lithography techniques on archival Somerset paper 100% acid free. SIBERIAN TIGERS is a contemporary wildlife landscape scene depicting a pair of Siberian tigers taking a cool drink from a snow covered riverbank. Printed in shades of blue, gray, light orange, brown, and touches of black with white accents emphasizing the icy landscape. This lithograph is a handmade original print, not a commercially mass produced poster or digital reproduction, quality craftsmanship. Year published - 1983 Edition size - 200 Print size - 21.5" x 29.5", unframed, excellent condition, hand signed in pencil by Sydney Taylor The Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica), also known as the "Amur Tiger", is the largest felid(cat) in the world. They are a cold climate big cat species living in eastern Russia's birch forests, some live in China and North Korea. It is estimated that there are around 400 to 500 Siberian tigers left in the wild. This endangered tiger species is well-known for its power and strength, which added to a fearsome reputation, stir fear among humans.

A North Carolina native, the African-American Romare Bearden spent most of his career in New York City. For several decades he was a social worker in Harlem. But of course he traveled widely, read and studied with great care, and created a phenomenal body of work. This 1971 lithograph is a good example of his oeuvre -- far reaching though it may be.
