Artist Biography:
Manoela Madera was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She earned her B.F.A. from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn in 2007. Her work is vibrant, graphic and playful, incorporating geometric and organic forms. She hopes her works are uplifting & transformative, thus activating their surroundings and turning into attractors that radiate instant energy. Her pieces represent gateways to transport the viewer beyond the everyday. Manoela currently lives and works in Brooklyn where she spends her time drawing, painting and doing design work.
