About the Item
Celebrity fashion photographer, Lindsay Anne Delaney, created this photographic collage after capturing multiple shots of all the "closed" and Covid-related signage of businesses along Toronto's famous Queen Street during the pandemic. In 2023, post-chaos, when the city and its business were re-building, Delaney began assembling the images to create a single work that is not only emblematic of that collective uncertainty, but is also forward-thinking and hopeful. A collage pieced together thoughtfully, and in retrospect, the outcome is a work of art that is both nostalgic and uplifting.
