Aliso Creek, Painting, Oil on Canvas
By Grace Diehl
Located in Yardley, PA
Aliso Creek is a beautiful and unique feature of southern Orange County, California. Originating in the Santa Ana Mountains and flowing into the Pacific Ocean at Laguna Beach, it is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and artists alike. I was inspired to capture the beauty of Aliso Creek in a plein air painting. I set up my easel along the creek bed and began to paint, taking in the peaceful sounds of the water and the chirping of the birds. One of the highlights of the painting was capturing the presence of ducks swimming in the creek, even into the winter months. Their playful movements added an extra touch of life and energy to the painting. I also made sure to capture the scenic beauty of the surrounding landscape in my painting, including the lush greenery and sparkling water. The combination of natural beauty and man-made elements, such as the path along the creek and the bridge crossing, added depth and interest to the artwork. Painting Aliso Creek was a rewarding experience, allowing me to showcase the beauty of this unique and special place. I am proud of the artwork I created and hope it inspires others to appreciate the beauty of Aliso Creek and its surrounding landscape. "Sunset on Golden Marsh" Large Landscape with Pink/Orange Sky and Setting Sun
By Kimberly MacNeille
Located in Wellesley, MA
"Sunset on Golden Marsh," Oil on Canvas, 48 x 48 Inches is a majestic landscape painted with all the elegance and attention to detail of the best of the 19th century Hudson River artists. The warm glow of the top half of the canvas, pink and yellow light diffused through passing clouds, perfectly capturing the setting sun on a summer day is a dramatic foil to the lower half of the painting where meticulous rendering of the marsh's water and greenery is dreamy in the distance.
This painting is beautifully framed in a simple light wood, high quality strip frame that accents the image perfectly without distraction.
Additional photos of painting details and showing the painting installed on a wall can be provided.
MacNeille is an unusually gifted painter of landscapes in general whose works are of the highest quality, always with careful attention to light and time of day. In addition to marsh scenes inspired by her local North Shore of Massachusetts area, she is a painter of beach scenes, water, and Niagara Falls.
