The beach at Shaw’s Cove is where I did this painting, en plein aire. Shaw's Cove is situated on the beach in Laguna Beach, CA. It is a small sandy beach that is popular among locals. Scuba divers and snorkelers frequently visit Shaw's Cove, and even scuba classes are held there. Swimming and bodyboarding are also popular activities. It was a delightful experience to paint here on a foggy morning. It’s a flat, long bit of sand, with great natural boundaries to the north and south.
