About the Item
Charming 1953 oil on board painting signed Schaffer. We are not sure who the artist is, but they were obviously very talented in a folk/primitive style. They have really captured a bygone era. I believe Tompkins corner is in upstate New York. Painting measures 18 inches wide by 14 high. The hand carved frame seems to be period if not older than the painting and it measures 21 5/8 inches by 17 5/8 inches.
