Born the 22th of October 1869 in Paris. Dead in 1937
Painter of interior and still lives. He was the pupil of Joseph Bail.
His work was exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français since 1906, and Salon des Indépendants since 1913. He was awarded a lot in Paris as in province. He is famous of his copper effects in his still lives and interiors.

Raoul Victor Maurice Maucherat de Longpré was taught by his father the silk painter Jean Antoine Marie Victor Maucherat de Longpré (1815). According to the family tradition related to the industry of the silk trade of Lyon, he starts very young to paint fans before making true paintings. Consequently, he specialized in floral painting. At the 30 years age he leaves his hometown and started his career at the "Salon de Paris" in 1876.
