“Tea Time” by Marcia Wise is a 24 x 30 inch still life oil painting from the artist’s china cup still life series in dominant earth tones of browns, yellow, oranges and gold with a hint of light greens. Soft colors used in this elegant design were applied with a palette knife in an addition/reduction method to all all layers of paint show through the finished piece. This painting is on hardboard, signed on the front by the artist and is unframed measuring 24 x 30 x 1.5 inches.
Marcia Wise is a Massachusetts-based contemporary oil painter and educator whose paintings are inspired by nature's landscape forms and patterns, light effects and reflections, and the play of textures. Her work has been exhibited and collected nationally and internationally. Wise is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.
