Thomas Cardone
Thomas Cardone was born in Bayside, New York in 1964. He received a BFA from New York Institute of Technology before making his way out to California to work for The Walt Disney Studios, where he was Head of the Background Painting Department for animated feature films and eventually became an Art Director. After a very rewarding 13 year experience, Tom returned home to New York to join 20th Century Fox’s Blue Sky Studios. His Art Direction can be seen in Rio, Rio 2, Horton Hears A Who, Ice Age: The Meltdown and The Emperor’s New Groove. His credits include Robots, The Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Hercules, Chicken Little, Nightmare Before Christmas and Ferdinand, Blue Sky Studios’ 2017 release. He balances his film career with his passion for painting the local landscape. Tom lives and paints in Roslyn and Amagansett.
