'Paddling on Tea Lake in October' is drawn from the artist's trips to Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada in the fall of 2023. From the perspective of a canoe paddling down the lake this oil painting brings the viewer onto the water to watch the fall colours change. Bold brush strokes give texture and life to this Group of Seven inspired piece to life.
Framed in a custom black floating style frame. Canvas size is 24x36 inches.
Artist Bio:
Ryan Sobkovich (b. 1995) is known for his saturated colour palette and bold brushstrokes. Inspired by artists like Tom Thompson and Claude Monet, Sobkovich aims to capture specific moments in nature through a combination of plein air sketching and photography before working on the final pieces in his studio. He is a graduate from the Georgian College Accelerated Fine Arts program (2016), and has pieces in major corporate collections and has shown across Canada.
