About the Item
Nikolai Matsedonsky was born in 1911. He was a Soviet Avant-garde painter, graphic artist and sculptor. He was known primarily for his stage and costume designs. After graduating from Vkhutemas, the Russian state art and technical school in Moscow, in 1932, he was employed as a stage manager by the Kamerny Theater in Moscow.
Painting measures 17" x 23" without the frame.
