Originally from the northeast, Nancy Pellatt has lived in the Carolinas for the past 30 years. She is known for her realistic renderings of horses, dogs, hounds and related subjects and is currently working out of her studio near Charleston, SC. Her art is reproduced in several sporting books, including American Foxhunting Stories, Foxhunting in America and A Centennial View: Foxhunting In North America Today. Pellatt’s painting of Champion Foxhound Bitch, Tryon Sassoon, is in the collection of the Museum of Hounds and Hunting at Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia. Nancy Pellatt is a Full Member of The Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club; an Associate member of Oil Painters of America, and is fortunate to have studied with Jean Bowman and Sam Savitt, both founding members of the American Academy of Equine Art.
