About the Item
Faster Donuts was painted plein air . .There is the use of the palette knife which builds up a texture of the oil paints used in this road stop donut shop which are almost nonexistent today in America.. The paintings is framed. Faster Donuts are popular in California.
Jeff Slemons says :I’ve been an illustrator for about 25 years. I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’ve worked pretty hard to be able to do something with absolutely no job security. It’s a roller coaster ride all the way and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
From fine art inspired by long-ago greats, to cartoons and hysterical illustrations of the modern day – I do it all!
At some point I think I’ve done all I can and it’s time to call it done. In the back of my mind I made a mental note to do a bigger version at some point. On a bigger format perhaps things can be communicated more clearly. Should that happen look for a full report here. Until next time.

This Nahuala Coop, 100% women farmer produced washed Guatemala heirloom coffee features sweet, clean and bright aromas of hazelnut. The flavor is rich, with notes of chocolate, citrus and roasted nuts, finishing smooth and lingering.

Kalwick was honored for the second time with a one-man show sponsored by the United States Embassy at the Museo Ixchel in Guatemala City.
