Jakub Malinowski – Born in 1985. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the University of Arts in Poznań. He is engaged in painting and drawing. Since 2011 he has been working as assistent in the alma mater. He obtained a doctoral degree in 2016.
The theme of Jakub Malinowski's works is the relationship between public and private space, as well as the aestheticization and anaesthetization of reality. The motifs that interest him balance on the border of classical patterns and grotesque. Main point of inspiration for his artwork is the landscape of the Polish Baltic coast, providing evidence of violent transformations and contrasts.
