Biography: Cassiers Henry, born on August 11, 1858, in Antwerp, Belgium, was a renowned Belgian artist known for his diverse talents. He excelled as a painter, particularly in landscapes, urban scenes, and seascapes. His artistic skills also extended to etching and illustration. His work was known for its rich variety and the intriguing blend of illusion and semi-reality.
Cassiers initially studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown. He received guidance from the accomplished artist Henry Stacquet (1838 – 1906) and continued his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sint-Joost-ten-Node, broadening his artistic horizons.
Cassiers quickly developed a distinctive style characterized by maritime vistas, bustling cityscapes, and quaint village scenes, often inspired by Flanders and the Netherlands. He had a particular fascination with Dutch traditions, especially those of Zeeland and Katwijk, which influenced many of his artworks.
Beyond painting, Cassiers ventured into book illustration, creating beautifully illustrated deluxe books that became highly sought after by book enthusiasts. He also contributed illustrations to popular weekly magazines from 1886 to 1893.
An active member of the artistic community, Cassiers was part of the Belgian artists association Les Hydrophiles and served as the president of the Royal Belgian Aquarellists Society. In 1994, his extensive artistic contributions were celebrated with a retrospective at the Museum Vleeshuis in Antwerp.
Henry Cassiers passed away on February 27, 1944, in Ixelles, Belgium. Today, his works can be found in esteemed public and private collections worldwide. His realistic yet charming artistic style, marked by a sense of delicacy, continues to captivate art enthusiasts. His artworks are displayed in notable public collections, including the Brussels Museum, Antwerp Museum, Bruges Museum, and the Katwijks Museum, where they continue to inspire art lovers of all backgrounds.

Nashville Wharf
By Errol Barron
Located in New Orleans, LA
Framed sized is 16 x 20 inches. Framed in a white oak frame.
In any landscape there are places and objects of quiet monumentality so ingrained into the scene that they are nearly invisible or regarded only as ordinary or outdated artifacts of the past. Some are small in scale, and some suggest a kind of architectural grandeur mixed with a pathos stemming from their obsolete utility and the evidence they bear of the passage of time. Some, like the abandoned oil rigs in and around the Gulf of Mexico, are poignant reminders of environmental optimism and tragedy.
Primarily encountered on trips around our region, stretching up as far as the delta of northwestern Mississippi and southeastern Arkansas and as far south as the mouth of the Mississippi, these places and objects evoked the curiosity and affection, which prompted this show. The paintings, the result of a labor-intensive technique requiring many layers of color, are intimately sized though they often deal with subjects of great scale.
Trained as an architect and a practicing architect until 2016, Barron now works primarily as a painter. For many years he has taught at the Tulane University School of Architecture and is a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects. In 2012, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Louisiana Architects Association and in 1995 was awarded the prestigious Gabriel Prize from the Western European Architecture Foundation.

"Spotlights", Original Oil Painting by Tracy Wall
Located in Denver, CO
Tracy Wall's (Colorado, US based) "Spotlights" is an original, handmade, oil painting that depicts white daisies with green foliage and teal light.
As an artist, Tracy Wall sheds new light on everyday life, inviting the viewer to see the familiar as if for the very first time. Working with a variety of subjects, Tracy paints interesting viewpoints with compelling value, color, and shapes. Appealing compositions are everywhere, and they make strong impressions from afar even before the subject matter is recognized. She loves to balance representational impressions with more abstracted compositions. Tracy has studied at the Art Students League of Denver under such influential artists as Michelle Torrez, Ken Velastro, Kevin Weckbach, John Lencicki, and Rob Gratiot while also participated in additional workshops from Sally Strand, Carol Marine...
