"Vue de Mer, Villers (Sea view, Villers)" is an Impressionist abstract landscape oil on canvas painting from 1880. The artwork is 20 3/4 x 25 3/8 inches and, with the frame, is 31 7/8 x 36 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches. It is signed lower right, "G Caillbotte".
Caillebotte was a French painter best known for his connection to the Impressionist movement. "Vue de Mer, Villers," a captivating seascape that captures the serene yet dynamic essence of the French coastline. Painted during a time when he was exploring more tranquil subjects, this piece portrays a broad, expansive view of the sea, stretching out under a sky that teems with clouds.
