A large and rare Mallorcan landscape by this notable Catalan painter. Born in Barcelona, José Ventosa Doménech first attended the San Jorge School of Fine Arts in 1911. He then undertook an extended trip to Brussels where he studied Vanguard painting before returning to Barcelona where he continued his studies with the Realist, Martí Alsina.
