About the Item

Signed LL Anna Weatherby Parry Speakman was born in Springfield, Illinois, in the late part of the nineteenth century. Yet another artist of obvious talent, there is little known information about this Philadelphia woman. What we do know is that she studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts around 1915. She exhibited at the Academy between 1920-1925 and was a member of the Fellowship of the Pennsylvania Academy.
