We are please to announce that we are now representing the Pop Art paintings of the artist Matt Straub. We at the gallery have been following his career and have been excited about his POP paintings for more than a decade and are thrilled to be representing his art at our gallery. This painting Surf'n Minnie titled "Live Surf Die" is in Matt Straub's STREET POP style. The elaborate frame of this oil painting was also painted by Straub to be part of the art. I have included several close up detail images of the painted frame. Straub, famous for his classic Pop Western images of cowboys and cowgirls of the American West has created this mash up of iconic characters with pop imagery painted in his unique Street Pop style. Straub's oil on canvas painting combines paint textures and colors along with his interpretation of classic Characters beloved by the world. This oil on canvas painting with painted frame by the artist is titled "Live Surf Die" The framed art measures 36x36". It is signed titled and dated on the verso. I have included detail images of the art for you to closer see the painting technique the surface of the canvas and the frame. John CRASH Matos is a true pioneer of the Graffiti movement. Crash was first noticed through his murals on subway cars and is now regarded as a pioneer of the Graffiti art movement.
