About the Item
Cuban artist Ernesto Capdevila insists his paintings are rather more like drawings, in technique, than paintings. I'm not sure I completely agree, though I do see his point. In this work, Capdevila, as he so often does, includes a poem he's written on the painting in Spanish, the rough translation is: "Rain that detains time, and eternalizes illusory wishes"
