Eleanor Woolley
Eleanor Woolley was born in the Channel Island of Jersey and moved to Gloucestershire, where she was drawn to the outdoors, always taking walks in the landscape. Woolley's first true love for painting came from an inspirational Art teacher at the Haberdashers Monmouth School for Girls. During this period, she was fortunate enough to work under Mary Fedden in her studio and Portrait Sculptor Peter Lambda with whom she further developed the technique and composition. Woolley learned to paint using classic oil painting techniques and was drawn to the figure from early life drawing lessons. After gaining her BA Hons in Sculpture, Woolley studied Furniture making and worked as a Cabinet Maker before returning to fine art painting. Woolley is influenced by the work of Painter Frank Brangwyn, and his representations of the human form. Woolley still lives in her childhood home in Gloucestershire, surrounded by the countryside and people she loves to paint.

A Wintry Walk Home is an Original Painting by Eleanor Woolley. The low winter sun throws shadows on the pavement as people walk home, early evening. Lovely pinks and mauves make up this painting, the bright white of the setting sun draws our eyes into the distance. The contrasting shades of darkening purples create the shaded doorways of the buildings of Montpelier, Cheltenham.

Lenny Cornforth original art paintings for sale with Wychwood Art online and through their gallery in Oxfordshire. Endlessly enthralled by the Atlantic ocean, Lenny Cornforth takes inspiration from the northern coast of Cornwall, using layers of translucent colour and texture to construct vibrant and emotional paintings evoking the joyful colours of the landscape around her. Working in both oil and acrylic each piece develops gradually, each layer establishing the shapes within the painting. A keen sailor and surfer, Lenny often draws on her own experiences in the sea, days walking the costal paths and summers lying in the sand to inform her compositions. Much of her work is based on the Camel Estuary where she learnt to sail. After graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Fine Art, Lenny has exhibited widely in the UK including Oxford Castle, Edinburgh Art Fair, Waterperry Gardens and the Scin Gallery in London. Nonetheless she has always been drawn back to Cornwall, where she currently lives near Bodmin with her husband and son, two dogs and 50 dorset sheep.
