This modern French oil painting by Bernadette Kelly presents an abstracted yet evocative poolside scene where figures are seen engaged in quiet interactions The composition is bathed in cool blues and vibrant turquoise hues capturing the shimmering reflections of water and the airy openness of a sunlit pool house

Bernadette Kelly
Bernadette Kelly was born in Bousquet d'Orb, Hérault in 1933. She studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, from 1953 to 1956 as well as in the workshop of the famous artist, Marcel Gromaire. She went on to teach drawing at Yves Hersent's preparatory course for seven years, then devoted herself entirely to her work in painting and engraving from 1965.
Numerous exhibitions: Galerie Le Bateau Lavoir, Paris, Galerie Nadine Granier, Albi and others.
