This deep connection with nature is reflected in every brushstroke and forms the foundation of my artistic identity. My art is more than an aesthetic representation, it is an exploratory journey into the depths of my own being. The search for inner knowledge and self-understanding is at the centre of my creative endeavours. Every stroke on the canvas is a discovery, a step on the journey to my true essence. This process of self-exploration is deeply rooted in the practice of meditation and spiritual teachings that feed not only my creative inspiration but also my personal development. Nature, in its myriad forms and expressions, serves as a constant source of my creative energy. My artistic dialogue with nature allows me to delve into its mysterious depths and reveal the beauty of its sceneries in my works. At the same time, my paintings reveal the essence of my thoughts and emotions, which inspire me to new creative expressions. My art is also a journey to expand consciousness an invitation to look deeper and understand. It transcends the boundaries of visual aesthetics and becomes a medium of personal and spiritual realisation. Each painting, each brushstroke is a living expression of the moment, a manifestation of the energy and feeling that makes each moment unique. Through this profound artistic practice, I hope to build a bridge – a connection between my experience and that of the viewer, to discover together the beauty and hidden treasures of nature and the self.

Eastern Glades Series 4 Acrylic on Canvas Contemporary Abstract 36" x 36"
By Eleanor McCarthy
Located in Houston, TX
Eastern Glades Series 4 Acrylic on Canvas Contemporary Abstract 36" x 36" Inspiration for Eastern Glades 4 is from the Memorial Park Conservancy in Houston, Texas As the first significant project of Memorial Park Conservancy's 10-year plan, Clay Family Eastern Glades is another beautiful location for Houstonians to enjoy nature at its finest. Inspired by the original 1930s master plan by landscape architects Hare & Hare, Memorial Park's Eastern Glades section adds nearly 100 acres of open space for recreation, relaxation or quiet reflection. Eleanor McCarthy uses acrylic paints on canvas to create the soothing colors in her new contemporary paintings that were just painted in 2024. Every client sees a different image in her new series of paintings being produced in 2024. The Clay Family Eastern Glades is named after the family of third- and fourth-generation Houstonians Emily and Robert Clay, who donated $10 million toward the park's capital campaign in 2018. If you've never visited or it's been a while, keep reading to learn more about this 100-acre open space located in one of Houston's best green spaces—complete with natural habitats and Hines Lake. The Eastern Glades Series is gallery wrapped so there is no need for a frame. Eleanor McCarthy is inspired by the scenery of Texas, Southwestern Colorado, and Europe. Eleanor has recently begun to pursue non-representational painting and has enjoyed exploring the process of abstraction in creating new works of art. She has added acrylic painting and mixed media application to her artworks. Eleanor graduated from Tulane University with a BA in Sociology and from Southern Methodist University School of Law with a JD. Eleanor began to pursue painting after her children went to college. She has studied with Nancy Paris Pruden in Houston for the last 20 years and for two years with Arielle Masson at the Glassell School of Art. Eleanor has furthered her training with painting workshops in Texas, Colorado and Washington State under Mitch Albala, Jeanne Mackenzie, Joshua...
